Chestnut Ridge
Meeting
| About a mile off 800 S. from Bamesville on Chestnut Ridge
Road, T-26 Chestnut Ridge Meeting was formed in the early 1800's but the
present meeting house was not built until 1890. A white painted wooden
structure, next to Doudnas' Orchard, our meeting has been conducted down
through the years as a gathering for waiting worship. Believing that our
Heavenly Father can and does reveal His holy will to those who seek |
 |
Him "in spirit and in truth," we continue to gather here in
silent and prayerful expectation on First-day mornings. Though attendance is
small, it was very heartening last year to have thirteen people come one
Saturday to paint the outside of the meeting house.
"Lord thou hast
been our dwelling place in all generations. Before the mountains were brought
forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even form everlasting
to everlasting, thou art God." Psalms 90:1,2 |
