Middleton Friends Meeting was established in Ninth Month 1803. This was the same year Ohio became a state. We were originally a monthly meeting of Redstone Quarter and Baltimore Yearly Meeting.The first Meeting House was a log building. It was destroyed by a fire, a second meeting house was hit by a tornado. The present meeting house was built in 1960. Although the buildings have changed, the Spirit remains. Our God is unchangeable. Despite the more modern structure our worship and doctrines have stood firm. The members continue to practice the waiting spiritual worship, recognizing Christ Jesus as our teacher, Savior and High Priest.
Some of our members are active in a local ecumenical charitable service. Some also participate in peace organizations. Some are called to Gospel Ministry. Other members work in outreach to those who may be drawn to waiting worship that honors Christ Jesus.
We begin gathering on First Days at 9:30 for pre-meeting reading and sharing. Our reading source may be the Holy Scriptures or another spiritually inspired book that has been agreed upon. At 10:30 we begin worship. Following worship we often extend our fellowship with one another by sharing the noon meal. At 7:30 on Fourth Day evenings some of us turn aside from our own activities to seek the Peace of God in midweek worship. We welcome and appreciate visitors.

The Meeting House (address 44866 Crestview RD, Columbiana) is located 3 Miles south of Rte 14 on Rte 7, turn right at the second Light. onto Crestview RD, 1/4 mile on right.
