There is a spirit that delights to do no evil*

This spirit is our true selves, made in the image of God. It is a joyful spirit - it delights! It is an active spirit - it does! It is a pure spirit - no evil! When we are living in our true selves, we are joyfull, active and pure children of God. How we wish that we would stay centered in and living through this spirit at all times, but it is not so. Our individual carnal bodies seek carnal pleasures, and our corporate focus turns to temporal rather than to eternal values. The divine spirit and the worldly spirit are at war with each other, and the battle is waged in our hearts and our minds. Those of us who have tried find that we do not, on our own, have the power to drive out, to rid ourselves once and for all of, the worldly spirit.
But we have one who will defend us. He is the Word who will write His law in our hearts. He is the Light, who will reveal what is pure and true. He is the Power who will drive out what is false and fowl.
 
It is Christ, the Word, who delivers us from sin, not the words of scripture.
No pope nor pastor can tell you God's will for your life.
There is no physical bread nor wine that can purify your soul.
God's house cannot be built with human hands.
 
There is one, even
Christ Jesus
who can speak to thy condition!

This is the foundation of Christianity, it is what has done away with the law of sin, to write God's law on our hearts.

This is the truth that  ended the hireling priesthood, for Christ Himself is our Sacrifice and our Mediator.

This is the Grace that sets aside our past sins, and the Power that can transform us, engraft us to Christ, that we may by His blood become meek and pure and bear the fruit of salvation.

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Rom 3:23
