A Christmas Prayer
Dear Lord. Thou hast existed forever - the Word by which God has created all things, the Light which shines from heaven, revealing our deepest secrets and calling us home. Yet, at this season, we rejoice thatThou, immortal Spirit, wert born again, as a mortal being to live among us and to teach us Thy Word in our words, so that all could understand. Let us, every mortal person in the world, now be reborn as an immortal spiritual being, led by Thee away from temptation and delivered from evil, living with Thee eternally in the warmth of Thy love!

Quaker Witness
It is Christ, the Word who delivers us from sin, not the words of
scripture.
No pope nor pastor can tell you God's
will for your life.
There is no physical bread nor wine
that can purify your soul.
God's
house cannot be built with human hands.
There is one,
even
who can speak to thy condition!
This is the foundation of Christianity,
it is what has done away with the law of sin, to write God's law on our hearts.
This is the truth that ended the hireling priesthood,
for Christ Himself is our Sacrifice and our Mediator.
This is the Grace that sets aside our past sins, and the Power
that can transform us, engraft us to Christ, that we may by His blood become
meek and pure and bear the fruit of salvation.
