Short Creek Meeting
“The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many” – Mark 10:45″
Our small Meeting is dedicated to the Christian nurture and support of our members and through them to their families, friends, coworkers, and all those the Lord leads us to see as our neighbors. Worship is held on Sunday morning at 10:30, at the meetinghouse except in the case of extreme weather. Worship meetings are also occasionally held in members homes.
Typically we begin with a brief time of sharing inspirational readings or Bible reading. Then meeting for worship begins, with expectant waiting on, and listening for, our Lord’s voice within to guide, strengthen, convict, and forgive. If children are present, they stay with the adults during worship. The last part of the meeting for worship includes a story or other age-appropriate activity designed to teach Christ’s way and lead the young ones toward Christian maturity.
Worship is on Sunday at 10:30 AM
We welcome visitors to share in these Christ-centered unprogrammed meetings for worship. Please call ahead (740-546-3814 or 740-546-3580) to be sure meeting will be held that day.
The Meeting house is 1/4 mi. north of Harrisville. Jefferson County RD.10
